  1. Where is SkyPoint
    1. SkyPoint is situated on Level 77 atop the Q1 Building Gold Coast, one of the World's Tallest Residential Buildings, on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Surfers Paradise at 3003 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast.

  2. How high is the viewing platform
    1. SkyPoint is situated 230m above the ground and is Australia’s only beachside Observation Deck and is also home to the Gold Coast's ultimate high altitude adventure, the SkyPoint Climb.

  3. How can I buy tickets to SkyPoint
    1. Tickets are available online or via our ticket counter located at street level in the SkyPoint Retail Store, on the corner of Surfers Paradise Blvd and Hamilton Avenue.

  4. Do I need to book in advance?
    1. There is no need to book in advance to visit the SkyPoint Observation Deck, except for groups and school tours.

      It is recommended to book in advance for the SkyPoint Climb to avoid disappointment as climbs can fill up quickly.

  5. Does SkyPoint offer discounted entry for pensioners?
    1. SkyPoint does offer a special rate for entry to SkyPoint for pensioners but guests will need to present a valid pensioner card to receive this price and gain entry.

  6. When is SkyPoint open?
    1. Our hours can change seasonally, and deck closures occur from time to time. Please check our hours of operation webpage for the most current times.

  7. What can I do at SkyPoint?
    1. The highlight of any visit to SkyPoint is the amazing views – you’ll be surprised at how big and beautiful the Gold Coast really is. The breathtaking 360-degree view from Level 77 are the highlight of any visit to SkyPoint. There are also visual displays to illustrate key points of interest in the region, high power binoculars, and the option to relax and enjoy the view with a bite to eat from the licensed SkyPoint Bistro + Bar.

  8. How many people can go into the lift?
    1. The lift will comfortably accommodate 15 people per flight. It is registered for 26 people.

  9. Where can I park?
    1. 50 complimentary visitor car parks are available in the underground carpark below the Q1 Building Gold Coast (subject to availability).

      Guests will need to register their car details in the SkyPoint lobby whilst waiting for the lift.

      Entry to the car park is off Hamilton Ave, down the driveway just after the resort drop off area. The car park is 2.2 metres high. The car park is for use only for the duration of your SkyPoint visit and is open from 7:30am till close. Tour buses are welcome to drop passengers off in the Q1 Gold Coast Resort drop-off area via Hamilton Ave.

      Tour bus drivers are responsible for their own parking requirements.

  10. Is there access for wheelchair/disabled people?
    1. Yes, SkyPoint is fully accessible by wheelchair.

  11. Are there any smoking areas at SkyPoint?
    1. Smoking is not permitted on Level 77 and 78. A designated smoking area is on ground level.

  12. What if the weather is bad?
    1. One of the wonderful things about SkyPoint is that on any day, you will still see magnificent views of the Gold Coast region regardless of the weather.

      Often our Rewards Annual Pass members rush to SkyPoint when a storm is rolling in.

  13. What is the average time spent at SkyPoint?
    1. When you include time for a bite to eat from SkyPoint Bar and Bistro, you can expect a visit to SkyPoint to take up to 2 hours.

      If you're just popping up to marvel at the view and learn more about the Gold Coast from our informative exhibits, then a visit will take approximately 30 to 45 mins

  14. Is there a restaurant at SkyPoint?
    1. At SkyPoint we have a fully functioning kitchen delivering casual dining café style food at SkyPoint Bistro + Bar. SkyPoint Bistro + Bar serves a delicious all-day dining menu starting from 10am daily including High Tea and cakes/slices.

      SkyPoint Bar and Bistro also delivers all your favourite alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including a number of craft beers as well as a great cocktail menu.

  15. Can I bring my own food and drinks into SkyPoint?
    1. No outside food and beverages, including alcoholic, can be consumed on the SkyPoint Observation Deck. For Safety reasons, outside glassware and knives are strictly prohibited.

  16. Is SkyPoint open air?
    1. No, the custom-designed viewing deck is fully enclosed by floor to ceiling glass panels, featuring a glass ceiling around the majority of the Observation Deck.

  17. Are SkyPoint Souvenirs available for purchase?
    1. Yes, souvenirs can be purchased from the store at the entry to SkyPoint. Souvenirs for the SkyPoint Climb can also be purchased from Mission Control.

  18. Is SkyPoint for all ages?
    1. Yes, SkyPoint is for all ages young and old, however after 8pm on Friday and Saturday night’s entry is not permitted for persons under the age of 18 years.

      If you have purchased a ticket for the SkyPoint Climb, climbers must be 12 years or older and a minimum of 130 cms tall.

  19. When did SkyPoint open?
    1. SkyPoint was formerly known as QDeck and opened in December 2005. The launch of the name change to SkyPoint took place on Tuesday 14 December 2010. The SkyPoint Climb opened in January 2012.

  20. I scanned my pass and then you asked for my details again – why do I have to give them twice? / Why can’t you just use my Pass details for contact tracing?
    1. Your privacy is important to us, so when we collect your information upon purchase or entry, it is used only for your product experience and is collected, stored, and used based on our Privacy Policy. Currently, Queensland Health requires SkyPoint to take and store particular details for contact tracing.

      Our Privacy Policy states that we cannot share your information with other entities, which is why we have to ask you to share your details with us again. We then enter your information into a separate database, where your information is stored for 2 months, used only for contact tracing if required, and then deleted.   21. What happens with my details when I provide them for contract tracing?
    1. For contact tracing purposes, Queensland Health requires SkyPoint as a Tourism Business to keep your information for 2 months – it will only be used for contact tracing, if required.
